The Case School of Engineering community is invited to celebrate engineering at the Engineers Week Reception, part of National Engineers Week, on Thursday, Feb. 23. The annual premier networking event attracts more than 600 guests, including faculty, students, staff, alumni and corporate sponsors.
This year’s reception features a keynote address by Janet Kavandi, director of the NASA’s John H. Glenn Research Center.
As director, she is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities required in accomplishing the missions assigned to the center. Glenn is engaged in research, technology, and systems development in support of the nation’s space propulsion, space power, space communications, aeronautical propulsion, microgravity sciences and materials development programs. Prior to accepting the director’s position, Kavandi served as Glenn’s Deputy Director.
