Singer Oleta Adams to headline African American Alumni Association Dinner Dance

oleta-adamsOleta Adams will be the featured performer​ at the ​African American Alumni Association Dinner Dance, which this year is co-sponsored by the Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom. Cocktail attire is encouraged.

Tickets cost $100 for alumni and $125 for guests. A portion of the proceeds from the event will help fund scholarships for students of color and diversity initiatives at Case Western Reserve University.

Best known for her hit single “Get Here,” from her 1990 debut album, Adams blends jazz, gospel and pop music into soulful ballads. She has had a successful gospel and secular singing career, released seven albums and is a three-time Grammy Award nominee.
