Recognize CWRU’s outstanding students, programs, organizations and advisors

The Office of Student Activities & Leadership is accepting nominations for the annual Student Leadership Awards. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to complete the nomination form ro recognize outstanding students, programs, organizations and advisors. To make a nomination:

  1. Visit the nomination form;
  2. Select an award;
  3. Name a person, program or organization that should be considered for the selected award; and 
  4. Write a short paragraph stating why the nominee is deserving of the award and answer one or two questions supporting your stance. 

The entire nomination process should only take about 15 minutes. The nomination deadline is March 1. Make a nomination.

Created by Dorothy Pijan in 1986, The Student Leadership Awards recognize and honor CWRU’s outstanding undergraduate student leaders. Pijan had worked at CWRU as the director of Thwing Center and Student Activities from 1982 to 2003. Pijan was a well-respected and nationally known student union professional. She had a passion, drive and dedication to student leadership. After her death in 2003, the awards were named in her honor to recognize her many contributions to student life at Case Western Reserve University.
