The Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative will host its fifth Research Equity, Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion Special Populations Roundtable Talk Friday, May 26, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.
This talk will cover disabilities, with a focus on communication disorders and deaf/hard of hearing.
Jennell Vick, executive director of the Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center, and Timothy Skaggs, director of the Community Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, will lead the discussion. An American Sign Language interpreter will be present.
Attendees will learn about communication disorders and deaf/hard of hearing communities and strategies for integrating and planning for inclusion of individuals with communication disorders/deaf/hard of hearing in their research programs and studies.
