“Race, Equity and Inclusion: How Cleveland Generates Wealth”

The Social Justice Institute will host “Race, Equity and Inclusion: How Cleveland Generates Wealth,” a part of the Research Lunch Series featuring Kevin Alin and Peter Truog of the Fund for Our Economic Future. The presentation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room A13.

Talk details

What happens when a community comes together to unpack the history of structural racism and its local manifestation? In 2017, Cleveland Neighborhood Progress, the Fund for Our Economic Future and other involved partners funded a learning journey to increase shared understanding of racial inequality in Northeast Ohio and to foster productive dialogue among stakeholders.

Through that journey, the Fund for Our Economic Future has produced an analysis looking at how wealth is generated annually in the Cleveland metropolitan statistical area through a racial equity and inclusion lens. A discussion of this analysis and the questions that it provokes will be the focus of this presentation by Kevin Alin, director of regional engagement, and Peter Truog, director of civic innovation and insight.

This event is free and open to the community. Bring your lunch; drinks and dessert will be provided. RSVP to socialjustice@case.edu.
