WISER to host fundraiser tonight to benefit female students in India

SEVA flyerTonight, Women in Science and Engineering Roundtable (WISER) will host its annual fundraiser to benefit the group’s adopted and underprivileged public school in Bangalore, India, through the nonprofit organization Soujanya Sevashrama (SEVA).

SEVA operates an international outreach program called “Nurture a School Annually.” WISER’s goal is to generate a fund for scholarships for two girls pursuing an engineering, science or medicine education.

Shannon French, director of the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence, will be the keynote speaker for the event that will be held on Wednesday, April 2, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Hovorka Atrium.

The event will be catered by Jaipur Junction and will feature a performance by Dhamakapella.

Admission is $6 for students and $7 for faculty and staff. Tickets can be purchased at tickets.case.edu.
