Pumpkin Drop

Editor’s note: Due to inclement weather, this event has been rescheduled to Monday, Nov. 1.

The Department of Physics invites all members of the campus community to a test of Newton’s Law of Universal Gravitation, Monday, Nov. 1, at 12:35 p.m. Pumpkins will be dropped from the roof of Strosacker Auditorium to see if gravity continues to operate the way Newton first described in 1687. Physics Chair Corbin Covault will lead the experiment and serve as master of ceremonies for the event.

The event is free and open to all students, staff and faculty. Cider will be provided.
