Robin Williams’ death sparks questions about Parkinson’s disease and depression: Here are some answers
The Plain Dealer: In light of the recent death of actor and comedian Robin Williams, psychology professor Jim Overholser discussed who is at risk for depression. “Depression can affect all people, all ages, all races,” he said. “The good news is it’s both treatable and in many cases, time-limited. A lot of research suggests that even without treatment, most people will get through a depressive episode. But treatments can speed that process along.”
