Programming director of London museum to lecture on campus March 2

Ken Arnold, director of public programs at London’s Wellcome Collection, will lead the upcoming Handerson Lecture, “Medicine Show: Science, Art and Health at Wellcome Collection.”

The lecture will be held March 2 at 12:30 p.m. in the Zverina Room at the Dittrick Medical History Center in the Allen Memorial Medical Library.

Opened less than five years ago, Wellcome Collection has already attracted over 1.5 million visits from people who enjoy its mix of medicine, art and the rest of life. Arnold will discuss their approach to putting medicine on show, the extraordinary legacy of American-entrepreneur and collector Henry Wellcome, and the history of medical museums.
