David Biegel, the Henry L. Zucker Professor of Social Work Practice and co-director of the Center on Substance Abuse and Mental Illness in the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, was appointed to a six-person international committee to evaluate Israeli social work education programs. In March, he traveled to Israel to conduct site visits as part of the evaluation process.
The International Quality Assessment Committee is composed of senior scholars and leaders in social work. There are two other Americans on the committee besides Biegel, plus one member each from Sweden, Australia and Israel.
