“Professionalism Unpacked”

Join students, faculty, staff, alumni and employer partners for a critical conversation about “professionalism” during a hybrid event Friday, Nov. 4 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

“Professionalism Unpacked” will feature a panel and small-group discussion for participants to share what is considered professional in the workforce and in the classroom today, if these ideas of professionalism are outdated, and how we can come to a common ground on what we should consider as “professional.”

Topics will range from attire and appearance, to what is considered appropriate email communications, to having your picture on your resume and much more. Collectively, participants will deconstruct and then co-construct a new description of professionalism.

In-person space is available, but limited. There will be a Zoom session open to anyone who is interested in joining virtually.

Engage in this conversation and contribute to a new meaning behind professionalism that is relevant to the diverse workforce and students of today.
