Professional Development Week

Presented by the Graduate Council of Arts and Sciences (GCAS), Professional Development Week will take place April 1 through April 5. The week will involve a series of enriching events designed to help you enhance your skills, expand your network, and gain insightful learning opportunities.

Monday, April 1

“Connect to Success: Mastering the Art of Professional Networking”
2:30–3:30 p.m. via Zoom
Dive into the essentials of professional networking and learn strategies to connect effectively with renowned career advisor Lisa M. Hebert.

Wednesday, April 3

“How to Find a Job as an International Student”
9–10 a.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center Senior Class Conference Room
Enjoy free coffee and donuts while discovering targeted job search strategies for international students.

“Tips for Job Seeking and Retention as LGBTQ+ Grads”

1–2 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center Senior Class Conference Room
Join us for an informative session on navigating the job market as LGBTQ+ graduates, with free light refreshments provided.

Friday, April 5

Kelvin Smith Library Publishing Symposium
Sessions running all day, both virtually and in the KSL Freedman Center
Engage with publishing experts and explore the world of academic publishing. A free lunch is available for the first 50 registrants who sign up to eat and attend the Sages Journal workshop at noon.

Networking and Trivia Night
5–7 p.m. at The Jolly Scholar
Cap off the week with an evening of networking, trivia, and fun. Free food and a drink ticket for the first 75 attendees!
