The School of Medicine’s Office of Faculty will host the next session in the Principles of Sound Scientific Writing series Wednesday, May 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Samson Pavilion, Room 271 (TEAL Classroom).
The topic of this session will be “The Introduction, Setting the State for your Scientific Paper.” Led by Goutham Rao, participants will discuss principles of writing an effective introduction to a scientific manuscript.
The session’s objectives are to:
- Explain the importance of writing a clear, persuasive introduction to a scientific paper;
- Explain the application of the 5Cs paradigm to writing an introduction;
- Adopt a rational, step-wise strategy to create a sound introduction.
Refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m.
The fee to participate in this workshop is $25.
