Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence Virtual Inclusive Talks and Lecture Series (VITALS) will continue in June for Pride Month.
This VITALS event will feature a virtual panel presentation titled “Medicine Under The Scope: Inclusivity in Medicine & Healthcare” Tuesday, June 25, from noon to 1 p.m.
Jason Lambrese, assistant dean of student affairs at the School of Medicine, will moderate a panel discussion with School of Medicine faculty members and leadership from Cleveland Clinic Foundation, MetroHealth System, University Hospitals and Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.
The panelists will include:
- Mark Mcloney, medical director of the Pride Network Clinic at MetroHealth System;
- Archana Brojmohun, deputy section chief of education and training in psychiatry at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and clerkship director for the School of Medicine & Northeast Ohio Medical University; and
- A representative from the University Hospitals LGBTQ+ & Gender Care Services.
Their discussion will cover such topics as:
- LGBTQ+ clinical services at each campus;
- Additional services, treatments, research, education and advances for the LGBTQ+ population; and
- How faculty, staff, and students can get involved.
