To celebrate Constitution Day each year, Case Western Reserve University students put together a student-led discussion forum with two guest speakers to debate various constitutional issues pertinent to current events.
This year’s program, “Presidential Power and Immigration,” will be held Monday, Sept. 14, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. via the university’s livestream website.
A student panel will lead the program, which will feature:
- Ilya Somin, professor of law at the Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University; and
- Charles Stimson, senior legal fellow at the The Heritage Foundation.
They will present their views regarding immigration law, equal protection, DACA, and separation of powers, and answer questions from the students and the general audience.
