CWRU receives $8 million for Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences
The Plain Dealer: The Mandel Foundation has awarded $8 million to the university to expand social work and nonprofit leadership programs and to help fund a renovation of the newly renamed Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences building. “The idea is to encourage conversation, dialogue,” President Barbara R. Snyder said of the renovation. “At bottom, it’s really about engaging human beings. That’s what social work is about at its core.”
