Prepare for a future teaching a career with the UNIV401 seminar

Graduate students and postdocs who are considering a future career in higher education and who are interested in learning how to teach at this level are invited to register for the fall UNIV401 course. This no-credit seminar course aims to introduce participants to the principles of effective teaching, including writing objectives, assessing student learning, active learning techniques, and much more.

Upon completion, participants will be able to plan and teach classes using best practices. There is no charge for this seminar, and a free textbook is provided.

This is a 14-week program that will meet weekly in person on Tuesdays, beginning Aug. 29. Enrollment is limited to 15 students.
