National television anchor and Starfish Foundation co-founder and CEO Soledad O’Brien will be at Case Western Reserve University as part of the PowHERful Summit, cosponsored by Starfish and the Women of Color Foundation.
The free, daylong gathering, held Saturday, Sept. 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Tinkham Veale University Center, is open to the CWRU community and any low-income women of color.
Attendees will learn about education, career, health and life skills to help them forge a more promising future.
PowHERful features industry experts who present curriculum in areas like finance and digital literacy, STEM, workforce development, college preparedness, health and more. In addition, there will be morning and afternoon keynotes by inspiring leaders from various backgrounds.
