The first faculty Power of Diversity Spring 2015 Lecture will be held Wednesday, Feb. 25, with Blanton S. Tolbert, assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry. Tolbert will present on “Molecules of HIV: The Importance of Diverse Perspectives” at 3 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center Senior Classroom.
HIV issues and reproductive rights will be topics discussed during this semester’s Power of Diversity faculty lectures, sponsored by the Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity (OIDEO).
The Power of Diversity Lecture Series seeks to inspire campus dialogue, community engagement and learning about the national narrative on diversity and inclusion. The annual series includes one national speaker and two faculty speakers each semester. Earlier this month OIDEO, in partnership with the Town Hall of Cleveland at Case Western Reserve University, sponsored best-selling author and art historian Sarah Lewis.
The event is free and open to the public. To RSVP, email diversity-rsvp@case.edu.
