Post-doctoral fellow wins best oral presentation award

Matthew Schiefer, a post-doctoral fellow in the Training Program in Musculoskeletal Research in the Department of Orthopaedics, won the award for best oral presentation by a post-doctoral fellow at Musculoskeletal Research Day.

Schiefer’s platform and poster presentations were on the subject of “Comparing Probabilistic Models of Electrical Stimulation of the Sciatic, Tibial and Common Peroneal nerves: An FES-based Approach to Controlling Ankle Motion.” His presentations demonstrated the results of his research into modeling techniques that guide electrode development and intraoperative electrode testing.
