Experts torn over Supreme Court direction in next Second Amendment case

Lamis Associate Professor in American Politics in the Department of Political Science, weighed in on an upcoming Supreme Court case challenging a long-standing federal law barring domestic abusers from possessing firearms, noting that he can envision a scenario in which justices uphold the statute in a way “that doesn’t have much of an effect on how (precedent) is interpreted and applied moving forward.”
