News Net 5: Karen Beckwith, the Flora Stone Mather Professor and chair of the Department of Political Science, talked about how the lengthy Republican party nomination process could impact this summer’s convention in Cleveland. “(A brokered convention) would require candidates with delegates in their pockets to stay in the race, and then throw those down in a big fight at the end in public,” she said.
