USA Today: Justin Buchler, associate professor of political science at the College of Arts and Sciences, warned Democrats against eliminating the filibuster now, as Republicans could exploit its absence when they regain power. Buchler suggested Democrats are underestimating the political consequences of creating a tool that could later be turned against them.
