Police, ITS offer discounts to CWRU for theft-recovery service for personal computers

Case Western Reserve’s Police and Security Services and Information Technology Services (ITS) have entered into an agreement to provide students, faculty and staff with a significant discount on Absolute Software’s theft-recovery service, LoJack for Laptops, for their personal computers.

The BIOS-based software allows for a stolen laptop to be tracked, located and recovered, and provides users with the ability to remotely lock or delete the data on their computers before it can be used to harm them. A one-year subscription to LoJack for Laptops is available to purchase for $16.95 through the eStore at case.edu/its/estore. Additional contract lengths also are available at a significantly discounted price.

For 24/7/365 assistance with any technology product or service, search for answers or use Live Chat on help.case.edu, or contact the ITS Service Desk at help@case.edu or 216.368.HELP (4357).
