In the next Faculty Work-in-Progress session, Sarah Gridley, assistant professor of poetry, will give an update on her work, “Out Flew the Web and Floated Wide: Tennyson and Green Eschatology.”
Forthcoming from Omnidawn in 2013, Gridley’s third book of poems—titled Loom—searches for re-integrations of gender, dwelling, and the sacred, bringing current evocations of green eschatology to bear on Tennyson’s enigmatic poem, “The Lady of Shalott.”
Gridley’s talk will be held Nov. 15 at 4:30 p.m. in Clark Hall 206. A reception will begin at 4:15 p.m.
