The National Environmental Medical Organization chapter on campus will host a free plant arrangement workshop during its last event of the semester Saturday, Dec. 7, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Thwing Center ballroom.
Attendees will be able to build their own succulent or tropical house plant arrangement. All materials will be provided; both options include a meal and drink ticket. There will be fresh fruit, sparkling cider, Arnold Palmers, and more.
Those who choose to make succulent arrangement will receive:
- 3–4 succulents and 1 –2 cacti;
- A 6-inch pot with drainage holes and a water reservoir;
- Freshly mixed succulent potting soil; and
- A choice from a selection of soil topping decorations, such as colorful rocks and mini mushrooms.
Those who choose a tropical houseplant arrangement, will receive:
- 3 tropical house plants and a fern;
- A 6-inch pot with drainage holes and a water reservoir;
- Freshly mixed tropical plant potting soil; and
- A choice from a selection of soil topping decorations, such as colorful rocks and mini mushrooms.
All plants are beginner friendly.
