“Pilots and Beyond: CTSC Research Impact on Legislative, Regulatory or Practice Policies”

The Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative will host a discussion about the program’s research impact on legislative, regulatory or practice policy.

Clara Pelfrey, program evaluation director, and Valerie Boebel Toly, the Arline H. and Curtis F. Garvin Professor of Nursing, will present “Pilots and Beyond: CTSC Research Impact on Legislative, Regulatory or Practice Policies” Tuesday, Jan. 10, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.

Learning objectives of this session are to:

  1. Understand possibilities for translating research results into powerful evidence that can inform policies, practices or regulations;
  2. Identify examples of policies, practices or regulations that have been influenced by CTSC research; and
  3. Advocate for allocation of resources that support the pathway from research ideation to execution to results dissemination that helps inform policies, practices or regulations.
