Pi Beta Phi will host a Phamily Pheud game night Friday, April 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Hovorka Atrium. The Pi Beta Phi Foundation raises awareness about literacy and funds various literacy initiatives across the country.
Teams consisting of three to five people can enter for $40 per team. Food is provided to all participants. Tickets are $5 for those who want to come and watch.
Pi Beta Phi will sell tickets in Tinkham Veale University Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Thursday, April 16, and at the door during the event. There will prizes for the first-, second- and third-place teams in the Phamily Pheud tournament, as well as raffles and literacy trivia throughout the night.
There will be a survey of questions for the Phamily Pheud tournament on the Facebook event page.
Pi Beta Phi will also partner with the Cleveland Common Book Community Project, which collects books from students and then distributes them to prisons, reintegration centers, schools and libraries in the area. For every book donated (up to two books per student or team), Pi Beta Phi will discount the price of attendance by $1. Books can be donated at the event or at the table during ticket sales.
