Philosophy’s Jeremy Bendik-Keymer named expert reviewer on climate change report

Jeremy Bendik-Keymer, the Beamer-Schneider Professor in Ethics and associate professor of philosophy, has been selected as an expert reviewer on Working Group III’s contribution to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change‘s Fifth Assessment Report. This report will serve as an update the 2007 report.

Bendik-Keymer will join hundreds of other reviewers whose expertise allows them to comb through the report on estimated social, ethical and economic dimensions of climate change, according to different future scenarios.

The IPCC report is a heavily relied upon and mainstream instrument used globally to forecast the different possible outcomes of the global economy on global climate ecology over the next century.
