Philosophy’s Jeremy Bendik-Keymer explores “arbitrarianism” in modern society and politics

Jeremy Bendik-Keymer, the Elmer G. Beamer-Hubert H. Schneider Professor in Ethics and associate professor of philosophy, wrote a piece titled “This Conversation Never Happened” for Tikkun.

Bendik-Keymer examines a lack of accountability in modern society and the way this phenomenon has transferred into politics, and vice versa. He deems this new societal belief “arbitrarianism,” and argues its consequences.
