PhD candidate selected for prestigious Byron Fellowship

Sarah Shick, a PhD candidate in sociology, was selected for a Byron Fellowship, a five-day program for emerging leaders who are making an impact on their communities and attuned to global challenges.

Fellows work with academic teachers and active practitioners to achieve transformative inquiry. Participants engage in mindfulness exercises, collaborative dialogue, envisioning practices, and deep individual and group reflection.

Each year, 20 to 40 individuals representing a broad spectrum of disciplines are selected as fellows.
