The Cripple of Inishmaan will open at Eldred Theater this week, with performances scheduled for Feb. 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 21 and 28 at 3 p.m.
The play, written by Martin McDonagh, is about a Hollywood movie crew searching for talent in rural Ireland and follows the story of “Cripple” Billy, who sees his opportunity to escape his unsatisfying life.
David Vegh, assistant professor of theater, will direct the CWRU production of the play.
Tickets are available at the Eldred Theater Box Office weekdays from noon to 5 p.m. and an hour prior to curtain on performance dates. Reservations can be placed via voicemail at any time by calling 216.368.6262.
General admission tickets are $10, tickets for adults over the age of 60 and CWRU faculty and staff are $7, and student tickets are $5.
