A peer support group for survivors of sexual/intimate partner violence will be held on the last Wednesday of every month this spring semester from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women (Tinkham Veale University Center, Suite 248). The group will meet Jan. 31, Feb. 28, March 28 and April 25.
Led by a licensed therapist, the group will be present-centered and will cover understanding trauma, how it may be impacting one’s life and how to cope.
The goals of the support group are ultimately to help individuals regain their feelings of safety and to empower themselves.
All survivors are welcome to attend, regardless of age, gender, race, ability, etc.
Sexual Assault and Violence Educators and the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center host the peer support group.
