Pediatric ED patients are focus of new ‘Choosing Wisely’ recommendations

Fanaroff, professor of pediatrics, explained how following Choosing Wisely recommendations can decrease the use of unnecessary interventions in the emergency room for pediatric patients. “The recommendations are only developed after a thorough review of available evidence and can be helpful to show that the defendant provided appropriate care,” he said.
