Pedestrian walkway outside Biomedical Research Building to be closed this weekend

The pedestrian walkway leading to the Biomedical Research Building, near University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, will be closed all day Saturday, June 22, and potentially into Sunday, June 23, for crane work on a building roof. 

Access to CWRU Buildings

Access to Case Western Reserve University buildings that normally would occur via the walkway should route through UH Rainbow following these steps:

  1. Enter at the main UH Rainbow entrance.
  2. Walk toward the Atrium Café on UH Way.
  3. Proceed past the ball machine toward Atrium Café.
  4. Enter Atrium Café and pass Einstein Bros. Bagels.
  5. Go past the piano and enter MacDonald Way.
  6. Exit through doors and bear right toward Case Western Reserve buildings.
  7. Continue walking toward the CWRU walkway

Access to Adelbert Road

Access to Adelbert Road from CWRU buildings should route through UH Rainbow/UH MacDonald Women’s Hospital:

  1. Bear right from the CWRU walkway toward the entrance. 
  2. Enter main doors into MacDonald Women’s Hospital.
  3. Stay left past reception toward the Atrium Café.
  4. Turn left and proceed to Einstein Bros. Bagels.
  5. Enter UH Way, bear left, and proceed past the ball machine.
  6. Remain on UH Way past the carousel horse.
  7. Continue on UH Way toward the main reception area.
  8. Pass the main reception area, and exit the building at Adelbert Road.
