Participate in the upcoming Staff Advisory Council Basket Raffle to support a good cause

The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) will host its 21st annual Basket Raffle this month. The proceeds from the raffle will support veterans and education.

Last year, the faculty and staff members helped SAC raise $3,000 for the Edwins Foundation. Over the past two decades, the university community’s collective efforts have amassed $95,550 through the Basket Raffle.

This year, SAC hopes to reach the $100,000 milestone. The proceeds from this event will benefit Honor Flight Cleveland, an organization dedicated to honoring U.S. veterans. Through all-expense-paid trips to Washington, D.C., veterans can visit the memorials that commemorate their service. Additionally, 20% of the proceeds will be allocated to purchasing back-to-school supplies for those in need.

The raffle will be held in the Tinkham Veale University Senior Classroom on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, July 23, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
