The Mood Disorders Program in the Department of Psychiatry at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is conducting a study to look at the molecules present in blood cells.
The study aims to learn more about how cells in the body differ in people with Bipolar Disorder compared to people without Bipolar Disorder.
Learning about possible differences may help develop tests to help diagnose and treat bipolar disorder.
The study is looking for people at least 18 years of age to participate in a one-time visit, which will last 1-2 hours. You may be eligible for this study if you have Bipolar Disorder.
The study is also looking for people without any psychiatric disorders to participate in this study as healthy controls.
Participants will be compensated for their time, parking and other travel-related costs.
