The Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Learning Group will host the second part of its discussion on “Ethical Considerations in Community-Based Participatory Research” Thursday, May 11, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Held in a hybrid format, the event will be held in the fourth-floor conference room of the BioEnterprise Building and via Zoom.
Rachael Sommer, director of operations and partnerships at the Mary Ann Swetland Center for Environmental Health, and Sara Roberts, senior program director for the NIH Ohio HEALing Communities Study, will lead the discussion.
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Learning Group meets on the second Thursday of each month. Attendees at these sessions discuss articles relevant to diversity issues in population health research to foster a better understanding of how to include diverse perspectives in research, and build new collaborations and networks together. This group is a safe space for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge and skills related to diversity, equity and inclusion. Contact Rebecca Miller at rdm124@case.edu to be added to the calendar invite.
