Parking access available for daytime workouts

As the Case Western Reserve University campus footprint expands, some faculty and staff working away from the main campus have found it difficult to take advantage of free workout facilities at the Wyant Athletic and Wellness Center and Veale, Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center. The Wellness Program has partnered with Access Services to allow parking-pass holders to use Lots 46 and 53 for no additional charge between noon and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.

“We hope to make health the easy choice for everyone on campus,” said Medical Director Elizabeth Click. “This parking opportunity, along with the shuttles that will run frequently from outlying buildings to main campus should make Wyant and Veale available to all.”

To gain access, those who hold a parking permit and work at the Health Education Campus, Cedar Avenue Service Center or Bioenterprise Building can email Access Services at access@case.edu to let the office know which lot they would like access to.

All faculty and staff will be able to access Lot 46, which is near Wyant Center. Any person who does not already have gate access to Lot 53, which is near Veale Center, will need to pay a $10 deposit for a garage gate card.

After receiving an employees’ email notification, Access Services will place information about their plans within their parking permit file.
