Join the Global Ethical Leadership Society for a panel discussion regarding one of the biggest health crises facing our nation today: the opioid epidemic. The discussion will take place Thursday, Nov. 16, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence (Tinkham Veale University Center).
This crisis has affected many and challenged law enforcement and hospitals to adapt to how they handle the increasing number of users and overdoses. Learn more about this multifaceted issue from the following individuals who come from many disciplines:
- Daniel Flannery, director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education;
- Maria Pagano, principal investigator of the Helping Others Live Sober project and associate professor of psychiatry;
- Judge David Matia, of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas; and
- Mark Mekhail, physician at Fairview Hospital.
