“Open Skill Genome Project: Building Privacy-preserving AI-enabled LER Ecosystem”

xLab invites members of the Case Western Reserve University community to its upcoming webinar on its “Building Privacy-preserving AI-enabled Learner and Employment Records Ecosystem” project, which features groundbreaking research from xLab at CWRU, University of Pittsburgh and MIT. Funded by a grant from the Walmart Foundation, this project explores how AI can create a more equitable job market by removing bias from the hiring process, improving skill-to-job matching, while preserving users’ privacy and control of their own data.

This event, titled “Open Skill Genome Project: Building Privacy-preserving AI-enabled LER Ecosystem” will be held Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 1 to 1:50 p.m.

The event will cover:

  • Challenges in current learning and employment record systems;
  • How AI can improve skill-to-job matching and remove bias in the hiring process; and
  • Research approaches to building privacy-preserving decentralized data architectures for Learner and Employment Records
