Open Enrollment period begins Nov. 12; Benefits Fair to be held Nov. 14-15

The annual Benelect Open Enrollment period will run Nov. 12-30. Open Enrollment is the time when benefits-eligible university employees make decisions regarding their benefits for the upcoming year. The selections made this November will be in effect for the entire 2013 calendar year. Enrollment kits will be sent out in advance to assist employees in making their benefit selections.

Employees can select their benefit choice during the university’s Benefits Fair in Thwing Center. The Benefits Fair, to be held Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 15 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., offers an opportunity to speak with Benelect insurance-carrier representatives as well as benefits staff. In addition, employees can receive a free flu vaccination and health screening and enter the charity basket raffle, sponsored by the Staff Advisory Council.
