With less than a week to go before the general election, The Daily reminds the campus community of resources and assistance available for those casting ballots.
This Tuesday, Nov. 7, Ohio’s voters will see ballots featuring local and county candidates and questions, as well as two statewide issues. The first involves a constitutional amendment involving abortion and related reproductive decisions, while the second would legalize and regulate recreational use of marijuana by adults. This page of the Ohio Secretary of State website features the exact language of both amendments.
Case Western Reserve’s Center for Civic Engagement and Learning provides extensive voter information on its website, and also will be providing transportation to the polls on Tuesday. Those who are interested can sign up for a shuttle ride.
Those who live in Cuyahoga County and would like to review the ballots for their precincts in advance can find them online at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections website.
Please note that Ohio requires those voting in person to provide photo identification; for more information about valid IDs, please visit this state webpage.
