Case Western Reserve University’s diversity achievements and programs are highlighted in the Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity’s 2014 Annual Diversity Report.
The report includes articles on student activism on campus, the success of the university’s Sustained Dialogue program and campus community resource groups and corporate partners that support CWRU diversity efforts.
“This report demonstrates that CWRU’s commitment to creating a campus culture of inclusion is stronger than ever,” Marilyn S. Mobley, vice president for inclusion, diversity and equal opportunity, said in her column introducing the report.
The report was officially released last month at the conclusion of the university’s Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation, which featured award-winning journalist Charlayne Hunter-Gault as the guest speaker.
The report also highlights programs and diversity successes of CWRU’s schools and departments, including increased enrollment of underrepresented students in the Case School of Engineering, Weatherhead School of Management’s leadership program for women in the sciences, and the continuation of a campus mentoring program for East Cleveland youth.
