Nursing’s Patricia Higgins recognized as Gerontological Society of America fellow

Patricia Higgins, associate professor of nursing, was one of 56 professionals named fellows of the Gerontological Society of America.

A fellow is the highest class of membership within the society, recognizing outstanding, continuing work in gerontology, including research, teaching, administration, public service, practice and participation within the organization.

The new fellows will be formally recognized during society’s 66th annual scientific meeting, which will be held in November in New Orleans.
