Northeast Ohio Regional Science Olympiad looking for volunteers for Feb. 25 event

The Northeast Ohio Regional Science Olympiad will be held on campus Saturday, Feb. 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a competition for middle and high school students that determines their place in the statewide Science Olympiad competition in Columbus and, ultimately, the national competition.

The Center for Science and Mathematics Education at CWRU is looking for volunteers to facilitate events throughout the day of competitions and to serve as university ambassadors greeting teams and their families and directing them to event venues. In addition, volunteers will occupy a volunteer registration and welcome table and take on action photography duties.

All Olympiad volunteers will be provided lunch and the popular Science Olympiad T-shirt. A volunteer recognition program will be scheduled later this spring.

To volunteer, call 368.5075 or 368.5257 or email or no later than Friday, Feb. 17.
