The Northeast Ohio Consortium for Middle East Studies—created by faculty members from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University, Kent State University and Oberlin College—will sponsor a screening and panel discussion of the Jordanian film Transit Cities at the Cleveland International Film Festival on March 24 at 9:30 a.m. at Tower City. Directed by Mohammad Al-Hushki, Transit Cities tells the story of a Jordanian woman who comes home after 17 years abroad to a country, society and family she no longer recognizes.
