North entrance to Cedar–University Rapid Station to close Nov. 5; shuttle options still available

As part of the enhancements to the Cedar–University Rapid Station, the north side of the Cedar Avenue station entrance and the bus lane will close Nov. 5 until further notice.

Riders on the Westbound Nos. 7 and 32 and Southbound Nos. 48 and 58 bus lines will use the station’s large “Bus Loop.” Red Line rapid riders will enter the station on the south side of Cedar Avenue. Riders who must now cross Cedar Avenue or Carnegie Avenue should use the crosswalks at Ambleside Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Case Western Reserve University still will offer transportation services to RTA riders as follows:

  • Circle Link: Riders choosing to use the Circle Link shuttle should proceed to the nearest designated stop, located at Glenwood Avenue and Murray Hill Road.
  • UCRC: Riders with destinations to Crawford Hall (Euclid Avenue) and the Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital entrance on Adelbert Road may choose to use the continuous UCRC shuttle during this time. This route runs approximately every 23 minutes.  UCRC riders will be able to board the UCRC shuttle inside the RTA’s southside bus loop.
  • Additional Option: All day, students and employees can use the RTA Rapid Station located at the East 120th Street train station stop, and then take the Route B shuttle, which runs continuously from 5 a.m. until midnight on weekdays. This bus services Lerner Tower via the East 119th Street parking lot and will be able to pick up and drop off approximately 30 yards from the East 120th Street Rapid Station door.
