As recovery lags, more St. Louisans go to work for themselves
St. Louis Post-Dispatch: The recession has led to an increase in people working for themselves and creating their own opportunities. Scott Shane, the A. Malachi Mixon III Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies, said, “In many ways, non-employer businesses are a substitute for employer businesses and they’re a lesser substitute.”
