Deadline for biennial Mather Spotlight Award nominations extended to June 1

The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women and the Mather Spotlight Awards Selection Committee invite nominations of Case Western Reserve University women faculty, staff and students for the biennial Mather Spotlight Award, which recognizes the achievements of two women faculty members, two women staff members, one woman graduate or professional student, and one woman undergraduate student whose outstanding professional accomplishments, leadership and service have had a significant positive impact on our university and campus community.

The Mather Spotlight Awards Selection Committee will accept nominations from one’s peers, colleagues or supervisors on behalf of women faculty, staff, and students.

All nominations must be received by the extended June 1 deadline, via the online nomination form.

The Flora Stone Mather Spotlight Awards will be presented at the Women of Achievement Awards Luncheon, which will be held Friday, Oct. 23, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Kelvin and Eleanor Smith Foundation Ballroom at the Tinkham Veale University Center and will feature remarks by President Barbara R. Snyder.

See the nomination form for more details, including criteria for nomination.

The Mather Spotlight Awards previously occurred on an annual basis and recognized the scholarly achievements of eight women faculty members, each selected by their respective schools. The awards have now expanded to recognize the contributions and achievements of women staff and students, as well as women faculty members. The awards ceremony will occur on a biennial basis going forward.
